Caroline and Ian and I were neighbours in Walfield Avenue until I moved not far away over 25 years ago, but Caroline's and my paths still crossed regularly, each of us health-walking locally, chatting over the lane barrier at Finchley Lido swimming pool, or at Marks and Spencer when she was still working.  We always enjoyed a chat and a gossip and sometimes a moan.  I still find myself looking over into her lane of choice at the swimming pool hoping to see her bobbing head.  My condolences and love to her lovely family who I have known since Charlotte, Nicholas and Daniel were tinies.
